The International Missionary Training Network

Wycliffe Bible Translators and other key translation agencies have translated the Bible into many languages. The following article shows progress:

A significant new initiative by Wycliffe Associates is the MAST programme (Mobilized Assistance Supporting Translation). The aim is to complete 4,000 new translations by 2025. They are working with 25 Bible translation organisations and many churches. The method involves local Christians following a relatively simple 8 step process, translating from one of 50 gateway languages. The resulting translation is then checked. Training is given to local people over a two week period who can then proceed with the translation as quickly as they like. Some have finished the New Testament in just months. Wycliffe Associates are always recruiting for this most important ministry. More information can be found here.
